Summer Aeration Practices

  • August 14, 2014

We are just starting to enter into the hottest days of summer. Is your pond prepared to deal with the heat?

Summer is a critical time for the ecosystem of your pond or lake. When water temps rise, oxygen levels dissipate quickly, and sunny days increase the evaporation rate, dropping water levels.

Remember to operate your aerators and fountains from 5 am to 9 am & during the evening hours of 6 pm to 10 pm. This will help reduce the evaporation rate and help cool down the water in your pond or lake.
