Description
Gangway Accessory Kit
If you plan to extend your dock further into your pond or lake by connecting multiple gangways, you will require this Gangway Accessory Kit, which includes additional floats and mounting hardware. Our standard 4’x 8′ gangway usually comes with one float as one side is typically attached to the shoreline. However, if you intend to use multiple gangways, each 8′ gangway out in the water will require 2 floats and connector pins to connect the gangways together.
NOTE: For gangway’s longer than 8′, you will need additional floats. For 8′ connector gangways, we recommend two floats total (one with the 4′ x 8′ gangway and a second with the accessory kit). Add one additional Gangway Accessory Kit for each 4′ of gangway length. So for a 12′ Gangway that is out in the water, you would need 2 Accessory Kits. For a 16′ Gangway, you would need 3 Accessory Kits to go with the initial gangway.
This kit includes:
- (1) 24″ x 48″ x 16″ float
- (6) 3/8″ Galvanized Lag Bolts
- (6) 3/8″ Galvanized Fender Washers
- (2) Connector Pins with Cotter Pins
Dock Package Information
We provide Dock Kits to those who prefer a DIY approach. These kits come with plans, floats, and hardware to build your own dock, which can save you a significant amount of money compared to buying a pre-fabricated dock package.
Our Dock Kits make the process of building your own dock hassle-free, as we supply all of the necessary galvanized connectors, bolts, nuts, screws, and other hardware. You will need to purchase your own wood, but we provide everything else, including detailed plans on how to build it. The heavy-duty components we supply are built to withstand even the harshest environments.
Most people start with our 10′ x 10′ or 12′ x 12′ swim platform and then add to it as needed. You can also customize your dock with a gangway that can be as long as you want, ranging from 8′ to 24′ or more. Once you have everything assembled, it’s simply a matter of attaching it to the shoreline.
