1/2″ Non Weighted Poly tubing (Various Lengths)
This 1/2″ Non Weighted Poly tubing (Various Lengths) is the airline to use if you are coming down a windmill tower or just want airline to bury that runs across the ground. This tubing is non-weighted and ideally is sleeved in PVC and buried 4-6″ down to prevent it from getting cut due to mowers and other equipment that might go over top of it.

What is the difference between Weighted and non-weighted airlines?
Basically, the difference between weighted and non-weighted airlines for aeration is where you’re using the airline. If you are running an airline above ground, use a non-weighted airline. If you are running an airline from the shoreline to your Airstone or rubber membrane, you need to use a weighted airline. The weighted airline will stay in place under the water as opposed to the non-weighted airline, which will float. Investing in a weighted airline will make your life much easier than trying to wrestle a non-weighted airline into doing a job it was never meant for.
Another important tip is to bury your airline when running it from your aeration system to the water’s edge. This will protect it from an accident, landscaper equipment, or animal cuts. Dealing with a damaged airline is a headache, so take precautions and bury it. Don’t worry about burying it too deeply – 4-6 inches is enough. If you’re worried about extra vulnerability, you can even encase it in PVC before burying it.
